The latest next big thing in computing is the netbook, a minimally spec'd and low cost portable computer. They are smaller than a laptop but bigger than a smart-phone. Netbooks are low in price but are also slim in resources - no CD/DVD drives, small displays, low disk storage capacity, limited amounts of processing power and minimal memory. Think twice before you make a decision to purchase netbooks with the goal of saving capital expenditures on this new computer platform. They may not replace all of your current computers but they work well in the role they were designed for.

Microsoft to launch Windows 7 on October 22, 2009 PDF Print E-mail
Windows 7, the long awaited and anticipated replacement for Microsoft's Windows Vista will be on the store shelves October 22, 2009 according to information released in the Windows 7 Team blog from Microsoft's Brandon LeBlanc on June 2, 2009. In the blog post there was a mention of a Windows 7 Upgrade Option Program which will allow you to replace your current version of Vista with the Windows 7 equivalent version. There were prices posted for the upgrades.
